Hostinger Website Builder vs Custom Website Dubai 2026

Short answer: Hostinger’s UAE website-builder page lists its Premium plan at US$2.59 a month on a 48-month term (US$124.32 paid up front, about AED 457) renewing at US$10.99 a month, while a custom-built website in Dubai costs a one-off AED 500–6,500 at fixed-price studios plus roughly AED 250–900 a year to run. Hostinger is the cheapest way to get a do-it-yourself site live; a custom build wins once you need a proper Arabic right-to-left layout, UAE payment gateways, integrations, or a site you can fully take with you. All prices below exclude 5% VAT.

Key takeaways

  • Hostinger shows UAE visitors US dollar prices, and its headline monthly rates assume you prepay 48 months.
  • Renewal rates are about four times the promo rate: Premium renews at US$10.99 a month and Unlimited at US$16.99 a month.
  • Hostinger’s own help centre says layouts, styles, online store data, forms and SEO settings cannot be exported, so leaving means rebuilding the design.
  • The builder is do-it-yourself. The price does not include anyone planning, writing, translating or testing the site for you.

Hostinger Website Builder vs custom website: 2026 cost comparison

We took Hostinger’s figures from its UAE website-builder page as shown on 1 October 2026 (the UAE address redirects to a page that prices in US dollars). We converted at the fixed dirham peg (US$1 = AED 3.6725) and rounded.

Hostinger describes Premium as a plan to “launch your first website” and Unlimited as “unlimited websites, AI tools, ecommerce, full flexibility”. The page also advertises 0% transaction fees, more than 100 payment methods with no extra charges, a free domain you can claim after buying a plan, and a one-time gift of AI credits. Hostinger itself estimates that a simple small-business website can cost between US$100 and US$500.

What you really pay over four years

Because Hostinger’s headline rate needs a 48-month prepayment, a four-year view is the fair comparison. For a typical small-business site, before VAT:

  • Hostinger Premium: about AED 457 for four years, paid up front — then about AED 484 a year from year five at the renewal rate, plus your own time to plan, write and build the site.
  • Hostinger Unlimited (for a shop): about AED 668 for four years, then about AED 749 a year.
  • Custom business site: for example AED 2,500 to build plus roughly AED 500 a year for domain and hosting, or about AED 4,500 over four years, with the design, content setup, Arabic layout and launch done for you.

On pure fees, Hostinger is far cheaper, and we will not pretend otherwise. The gap is labour: a builder is cheap because you do the work. If you would pay a freelancer to build your Hostinger site anyway, add their fee and compare again. For the wider market, see our guide to website design packages in Dubai.

Where a DIY builder falls short for UAE businesses

  • Arabic is more than translation. A real Arabic site mirrors the whole layout right to left: menus, forms, icons, phone and number fields. Before you prepay four years on any builder, build an Arabic page and test it on a phone. Our Arabic website localisation guide explains what a proper RTL build includes.
  • UAE data law. Every contact or booking form collects personal data under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. You still need a clear purpose, consent wording and a privacy notice — a builder hosts the form, it does not write your compliance. See our UAE PDPL checklist for websites.
  • Local payments and integrations. “100+ payment methods” is not the same as your payment method. UAE shops often need gateways such as Network International, Telr or PayTabs, and service firms need CRM, booking or WhatsApp integrations. Confirm your exact gateway and tools are supported before you prepay.
  • The 48-month lock-in. The low rate is a long prepayment. If the business changes direction in year two, the money is already spent.

Ownership: what you can take with you

This is where a builder and a custom site differ most. According to Hostinger’s help centre, you can export your text content, images and media files and additional files from its Website Builder — but Hostinger ecommerce store data, including products, is not included. Its guide to moving to WordPress adds that you cannot export website styles and layout, the online store, integrations, forms, collected submissions or SEO settings.

In practice, leaving Hostinger’s builder means keeping your words and pictures and rebuilding the design, shop and forms elsewhere. That is similar to Wix, whose sites only run on Wix — see our Wix vs custom website comparison. Two things to sort out on day one:

  • The domain. A free domain with a plan is convenient, but check it is registered in your business name and note its renewal price.
  • Your form submissions and customer list. Since collected submissions do not export, download them regularly. Our guide to website domain ownership and handover lists what to get in writing.

When Hostinger is the right choice

  • You want the lowest possible running cost and are happy to build and edit the site yourself.
  • You are confident the business and site will stay simple for four years, matching the prepayment.
  • It is a portfolio, CV or link-in-bio page where English is enough and a rebuild later is no big loss.
  • You already host email or other sites with Hostinger and want one dashboard.

Choose custom when you need Arabic and English from launch, UAE payment gateways, CRM or booking integrations, speed and SEO you control, or a site whose design and data you can move to any developer. If WordPress is your middle option, read our WordPress vs custom website guide, and compare another popular builder in our GoDaddy vs custom website guide.

Aquarius custom websites: fixed prices in AED

We publish our prices because most Dubai agencies do not. Every tier is a fixed-scope quote, and prices exclude 5% VAT:

Aquarius tierPriceScopeDelivery
Starter SiteAED 5001–3 pages, mobile-responsive, WhatsApp plus contact form, basic on-page SEOLive in 3–5 days
Business SiteAED 2,500Up to 8 pages, CMS, SEO + AEO, AI chat assistant, EN/AR readyAbout 2 weeks
LaunchAED 6,500Websites and landing pages, up to 6 pages, CMS, SEO + AEO, EN/AR2 weeks

We use AI-assisted delivery too — the difference is that a team plans the structure, writes and localises the content, wires up UAE integrations and tests the Arabic layout, and you get the code, domain and hosting in your name, with nothing locked to a builder. Full details are on our transparent pricing page, and our web and app development services page shows everything we build.

FAQ

How much does Hostinger Website Builder cost in the UAE in 2026?

Hostinger’s UAE page lists Premium at US$2.59 a month and Unlimited at US$3.79 a month on a 48-month term, paid up front (US$124.32 and US$181.92). They renew at US$10.99 and US$16.99 a month. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude VAT.

Is Hostinger cheaper than a custom website in Dubai?

On fees, yes: about AED 457 for four years on Premium, against AED 500–6,500 one-off for a fixed-price custom build plus hosting. But with Hostinger you do the planning, writing and building yourself; a custom quote includes that work.

Can I move my Hostinger website to another host?

Partly. Hostinger says you can export text, images, media and additional files, but not styles and layout, the online store, integrations, forms, collected submissions or SEO settings. Expect to rebuild the design elsewhere.

Can Hostinger build an Arabic website?

Test it before you prepay. An Arabic site needs the full layout mirrored right to left, not just translated text. A custom build gives you the most control over RTL menus, forms and number fields.

Does Hostinger support UAE payment gateways?

Hostinger advertises more than 100 payment methods and 0% transaction fees. Check that your specific gateway, such as Network International, Telr or PayTabs, is on the list before you commit.
